mozilla update

Hi! I just wonder...how do I update mozilla? When I for example want to localize to my own language...It downloads the localized files but it reports it is read only...so how can I update it with my own privilege..not with root.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but on a similar theme...

I run Suse 9.0, it comes with Mozilla 1.4, I have the source for Mozilla 1.6 and can install it. Now I have both versions running...

Is there a way to upgrade 1.4 to 1.6 rather than have them both ?

Cheers
