mozilla preferences

I am having problems with getting Mozilla to remember my preferences. Whenever I alter the preferences, they are forgotten as soon as I close Mozilla. How can I get Mozilla to save them?

I am running Red Hat 7.2, and I used rpm to update Mozilla to 0.9.7. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

mozilla isn't the friendliest prog for upgrades... it does tend to overwrite options during install. probably the only thing to do in that case is to backup the .mozilla directory to .mozilla.bak, and restore it after the update.

ok... nevermind that... i misread your post. what preferences are you trying to change? try changing the home page - does it save that?
