mozilla install help

Downloaded tar:/root/MozillaFirebird-0.7-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz/MozillaFirebird/run-mozilla.sh
and I don't know how to install it. Dohh!! I was looking for an exe like W.

And what is the difference between Mozilla 1.6 and Firebird?

Keep it simple for me please.

Thanks.

"Downloaded tar:/root/MozillaFirebird-0.7-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz/MozillaFirebird/run-mozilla.sh

Copy MozillaFirebird-0.7-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz to a working directory, lets call it /root/work.
Then do these commands:
cd /root/work
tar -xzf MozillaFirebird-0.7-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz

This will expand the tarball and create a directory called /root/work/MozillaFirebird. Look in
/root/work/MozillaFirebird for a file named README or INSTALL which will give you instructions on how to continue on with the install.

"And what is the difference between Mozilla 1.6 and Firebird?"
Mozilla is a full featured web browser with all kinds of bells and whistles. Firebird is Mozilla stripped down to just the essentials to be a faster program. I use Mozilla. If you have a slow machine try Firebird.
