Mozilla Firefox HELP!!!
Hi,
Downloaded and installed firefox, prob is that there is no sign of firefox anywhere!!! I double-clicked on the firefox-installer folder next to the bin folder. But, like I say there is no sign of firefox after installation! O/S is Mandrake 10.1 Tried again, recieved this message "segmentation default line 56" What's all that about??? Thanks Jason |
The installer most likely put the installation in the firefox-installer folder, but if not, you could try the /usr/local to see if it's there. If all else fails, search the computer for 'firefox.'

It been a while since I have installed Firefox but I do remember the install process being fairly good even as a noob, I would recommend running running the following as root as it may give you some more clues:-
#find / -name firefox* -print Sorry I can't be of more help but I will have another look when I get home from work and if I find anything further I will let you know. Cheers Sm1ler |
What exactly did you "try again?" Did you try running firefox when you got that error message? Or was it the installer that gave you that error?
Either way, try reading this: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=300316 |
Hi,
Firefox does seem to have installed but there is no sign of it as a web browser on my system. It's as if it has'nt completely installed. Jason |
Did you follow the steps on that link? I have been unable to install Firefox forever, but it now works because I did what was prescribed in the link.
