mozilla-firefox 2.0.0.18
I've removed mozilla-firefox from my computer and installed mozilla-firefox 3.
Every time I boot the Mandriva 2008 Spring Free the software package updater ask for update mozilla-firefox version 2.0.0.18 release 1.1mdv2008.1 As I said I don't have mozilla-firefox 2 in my machine. Is there a way to eliminate this update in the way mandriva package updater ignore this update forever?: Greetings from Sao Paulo - Brazil Ricardo P.S.: I'm running Mandriva 3 as showed below: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); pt-BR; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 |
How do you remove firefox using add and remove software ?
|
No. I simply delete de directories, 'cause rpm -qa command doesn't report mozilla-firefox packages and mozila-firefox 3 isn't installed via rpm. You can install it(mozilla 3) via untar.
Did I make some mistake? Since i can't find a rpm package for mozilla-firefox 2... |
From a clean, not updated Mandriva 2008.1 Spring

Done! Thank you!
I'd tried "rpm -qa without the grep. When I use the rpm you proposed 5 packages of mozilla 2 appear. I use rpm -e with --nodeps clause and everything''s fine now. Thank you again Cheers |
