I have Suse on a dual boot with xp...and am using a usb mouse. While on linux my mouse is outta control. Is there a way to adjust the mouse.. slight movements makes the pointer move too fast

If using KDE you should be able to go into the control center and in the peripherals/mouse section an option to change the pointer options. In mine the acceleration is at 2.0x
