Mouse detection
 

Hi. I am relatively new to Linux despite having previously tinkered with Mandrake v.9
I have a Pentium 3 computer with an 80Gb HD which is partitioned to run both Windows XP and Fedora Core 4. The partition for Fedora is set at 20Gb. On installing the o/s, I selected what I thought to be the correct settings for the mouse however no mouse could be detected. I understand this to be a common occurence. The mouse I am using is a common 3 button Serial Mouse attached via a serial port.
I can log into Fedora Core 4 and would like to know if there is an easy way to have my mouse recognised without the need to go through the entire install process again. I should add that the mouse works fine in XP.

Any advice/assistance greatly appreciated.
