mounting NTFS SATA RAID-0 drives with knoppix

hey so I pop in a knoppix disc jsut to test the waters of linux but it doesn't recognize my windows bootable hard drives! so here's my setup...

2 SATA WD Raptors in raid 0.
2 IDE Seagate storge drive, master and slave.

Knoppix has no problem browsing the 2 IDE drive (hdc1 and hdd1) but I cannot find any traces of my raided drives. I have tried what mount commands I find in tutorials even though knoppix should be auto mounting it i presume. The drives are raided with a promise 20378 RAID controller on a k8VSE deluxe ASUS mobo. I really have no idea where to start here. I have searched for solutions in the forum but everything I find either hasn't been responded to or doesn't make sense for my configuration. OK I'm not a great linux user but I do understand some things, any help is appreciated! Thanks.

drawagoat,

I have 2 SATA WD RAPTORS in RAID 0 also.
I too cannot get knoppix to recognize the RAIDED drives
however it mounts and see all other IDE drives in my other systems.

I am starting to think that knoppix just doesnt support RAID drives
and thats a shame because its an excellent recovery CD for dying hard drives.
In any case, the knoppix DVD/CD (tried both) won't be of any help on a critical SCSI/SATA Raid system!!!
I hope someone can reply with a fix.
