Mounting hard disk/combo drive in fedora


Hi all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how cn i mount my ntfs partitions nd combo drive with both cd writer nd dvd rom facility.

To mount drive partitions:
su to become root
fdisk -l to identify the partitions---e.g. Windows might be on /dev/hda1
cd /mnt
ls
look for a mount point (directory) with a relevant name--if nothing then make one:
mkdir hda1 can be any name you want
mount /dev/hda1 hda1
cd hda1
ls


The optical drive should automount when you put in a CD or DVD. If not, you may find a mount point already defined in /media
