mounting digital camera

I am having problems assigning the correct permit ions to my digital camera
through the message log I was able to determine that my camera was assigned to
signed in as root I was able to mount the device to a directory under my main ID dir
when I try to change the permissions or the owner I always gives me an error or the changes don't take pllace.....

I also added this path (/home/mark/CanonCamera) to the permittions module under the mandrake control panel....what am I missing

please help

/dev/sda1 /home/mark/CanonCamera vfat noauto,user,owner,kudzu 0 0

If you edit your fstab you may or may not have an entry like this.

root@localhost:$ gedit /etc/fstab

You will need the "user" portion amongst the rest to have user privileges.
