Mounting


Hi all. A little help with mounting NTFS in Fedora please!!

Well, first off you can mount it and read it, but writing to it can theoretically be done... but it's iffy at best....

This should tell you everything you need to know.

First create a dir /mnt/windows

Now you are gonna need to open and edit your fstab file.

/etc/fstab <-- right click it and pick open in editor.

add this line to your fstab:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/win_c ntfs ro,defaults,umask=0222

To clarify on antiloaded, hda1 refers to the actual partition on which windows rests.
