Mounted Canadian Kidnaps CelineDion

In DVD-booted Knoppix 7.2, I do not know how to mount easily a Windows share.

GUIs often hide the details that a beginner should learn, so, I sought and found a non-lethal Terminal way, modified it accordingly, and it works:

1.) Via the GUI, I created a Mountie directory, which I understand is to become a mount point.
2.) Via Terminal, I executed:

Code:
/usr/bin/sudo /bin/mount //192.168.1.101/Z /media/sdb2/home/knoppix/Desktop/Mountie/ --verbose -t cifs -o rw,file_mode=0640,dir_mode=0755,sec=ntlm,user=Me,password=mypwd,uid=1000
Now, the question: In the following scenario, what happened to CelineDion?

Scenario:

1.) Via the GUI, I created a Canadian directory.
2.) Via the GUI, I copied to Canadian a CelineDion file.
3.) Via Terminal, I executed:

Code:
/usr/bin/sudo /bin/mount //192.168.1.101/Z /media/sdb2/home/knoppix/Desktop/Canadian/ --verbose -t cifs -o rw,file_mode=0640,dir_mode=0755,sec=ntlm,user=Me,password=mypwd,uid=1000
4.) Via the GUI, I started File Manager (PCManFM), and while I see all of the files in //192.168.1.101/Z, CelineDion is absent.

Was she clobbered because of the subsequent mounting, or does she exist in some alternate file-directory universe?

Merci d'avance

I like it.

I want to be part of the Fluxus.

Desultory Penguin, how are things with CelineDion? Have you found Her yet?

If you mount a share on an existing directory that contains files they become "hidden". It still exists and will reappear when you unmount the share.
