mount ntfs driver

Hi all,
I'm new in linux and have a problem with mount ntfs drive
I have Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS (Nahant ) and I have allready win XP setup on the same machine, I want to see ntfs partations of the win system on the same HD

I tryed this command

-create folder with name partation1 on the root
mount -t ntfs /root/dev/hdc1 /root/partation1

when running this command it gives me the following message
mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel

what should I do now ?

Thanks.....

Red Hat does not support the NTFS filesystem "out of the box", the fixes are to re-build the kernel or visit; http://www.linux-ntfs.org/
