Question Mount encrypted volume at boot

Can anyone give me some insight on this ?
Even though I'm putting the UUID of the starting partition in the crypttab file and the mapper file in the fstab file, it's still not mounting.
It doesn't work if I just use the UUID in fstab, either.

Thanks!

Can you show the entry you have made in your crypttab file? And did you made the entry in the fstab file ? Because crypttab will casue the LUKS partition to ask for password but actual mountung would be done by fstab.

Wink

Sorry, I wasn't quite clear on which UUIDs I needed to put where. I finally figured out that the UUID of /dev/sda7 needed to be in the crypttab (including its mapper name) and the UUID of the mapped name needed to be in fstab. After doing it this way, it seems to be working.
