Thanks for guiding me. I shall discuss it more closely later in this post.Yes you are right "It is naming convention for linux,"The thing which I want to discuss now is when I insert my dvd into the DVD drive and use mount command it show me various devices and at the end of line it show me
/dev/sr0 on /media/Centos_6.2 Final type iso9660 (ro,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=udisks,uid=0,gid=0,iocharset=utf8,mode=0400,dmode=0500)
Now i use command to umount my dvd
Now i use mount command and it does not show me the line starting /dev/sr0
I use the command # mount /dev/cdrom even # mount /dev/sr0 but it show me
# mount dev/cdrom
mount:can't find /dev/cdrom in /etc/fstab or etc/mtab
# mount dev/sr0
mount:can't find /dev/sr0 in /etc/fstab or etc/mtab
The only thing i know is to mount my dvd again i mount my dvd into the drive.Linux will start reading and will mount it.
Is there anyway to mount it again without inserting back the dvd into the drive ?
