mosfet's liquid theme on Redhat 8 and 9.. wheres the kde dir.?
i was trying to get the liquid theme installed.. without sucess. where is the kde directory it wants me to use with the --prefix=<YOUR KDE DIRECTORY> ?? and also how do i add it to my PATH, as it says to do at the end of install. im getting nowhere, i checked all else, is /etc/kde the dir. on RH 8? well im ignorant as you can see any help would be greatly appreciated.

check your "view" because if the file is called /.kde (notice the . ) then it's a hidden file, and then if you have something like say, file:/etc/X11 (for example) then if you use the dropdown from "view" in konqueror you will see an option to "see hidden files".
worth a try. Dunno about the redhat/SuSE arrangements, but my "liquid" setup appears in kde control centre>look and feel>mosfet's liquid regards John |
you can specify global install for root and all users
/opt/kde/ or local for individual users or root /root/.kde/ /<user>/.kde/ |
