So, back to the original question, how did you install the printer ? Go here http://localhost:631/ and install it. If it isn't listed, download the ppd file from linuxprinting.org (the link above) and use that to install it.
One of Samsung's line of host-based lasers. They generally work well and cost little. Samsung sort of supports Linux use, with installable Linux/x86 cups drivers often in the box, a penguin often on the box, etc. This particular model is the same printer as the Lexmark E210. The cartridges have a tab thingy to make them not interchangable, but it is easily adjusted. The Lexmark cartridges apparently cost more.
The "works perfectly" notice is in the driver notice. Both sites I produced point to a driver.
OpenPrinting's entry for the driver (GDI) says:

I tried using the driver that was suggested and it did not work.
Ive been through http://localhost:631 over and over and nothing I change/add or do there works.
I installed the ppd file and that is where I am at. After I installed the ppd file that is when the printer started to respond and Kprint opens up but nothing prints, that is it, that is as far as I can get.
What else can I try.
Can you try to print to it in other ways other than Kprint, it may be an issue with kprint. Try printing just a file with 'lpr' or 'lp'.
Also, I didn't realize this particular model is actually a Lexmark, this is not good. In general, Samsung has reasonable Linux support, especially if openprinting says so.

I tried through command line and nothing happens, the printer does not respond like it does when i try to print a Kwrite document.
How is the printer hooked up ? USB or Paralled port ? Typically it's better to use USB in most cases.
Can you also check dmesg, maybe CUPS posts some errors ?
The printer is hooked up to the parallel port, same as it was with slack 11.
When linux boots, it shows my printer model and the parallel port during the boot process so I guess it is initializing them or something.
That means it requires glibc version 2.1. Slackware has version 2.5. If the driver is not open-source so you can recompile it, there's not much you can do except downgrade all of Slackware. Switching to an earlier glibc will not work, it'll cause tons of issues.

It depends, which driver are you trying to install ? You're trying to install a binary, the one that I pointed to is open-source, so you should try that, it'll probably work.

Ive tried both of the links provided by simon bridge and both of them give me the same error message when I try to install them.
I tried the one you provided also and it installs but nothing prints from Kde or from command line. I would think since my printer is being detected at boot and it even shows the model in the boot messages it should simply work.
I wonder, can you print as root ? Try it, maybe it's a permissions issue.
Hopefully if you did install the driver in the link I posted you read the README, it says it won't work without the patch (can be obtained in the same place).
