so i did everything the other people on the Forum said, burned Fedora Core 4 as an ISO, tried to boot it on the Windows 98 machine...wont work. i can read the files in the disc when running windows, all i want to do is wipe windows and just use fedora, but it says "please insert bootable media in the appropriate drive".

Did you change the BIOS Setup of your system, so that you can boot from the CD first?

you need to make an iso cd, not just burn the image on the cd. If you can see the iso file, you did it wrong. I'm not sure how you would do this on 98, but in linux you can use k3b.

Cheetahburner worked really well for me, when I needed to burn an iso... and it was a free trial!
