Smile monitoring disk space using nagios

Hello.I am doing first nagios practice and for that I have following setup:
I have installed nagios core in centos 6 as described here:http://www.howtoforge.com/installing...-on-centos-6.3 I can login to the web interface and now first i want to monitor the hard disk space utilization on the machine where the nagios has been installed before moving to the remote hosts.
How to move forward? Looking for any good way...

I have followed the steps described in this link http://www.tecmint.com/install-nagios-in-linux/ and get nagios configured.
It works well for all the links except the map.On clicking the map the error is as follows:
Not Found
The requested URL /nagios/cgi-bin/statusmap.cgi was not foune on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat)Server at localhost Port 80
