monitor switches off after 10 minutes?!
 

Hi - this problem drives me crazy. I have linux 9.1 personal, an Envision EN-775E monitor, and a Riva TNT2 model 64 graphics card. The problem - if I leave my computer alone, the monitor will go to sleep,a nd the only way I can wake it up is by switching it off and on again. this only seems to happen in KDE, not in Gnome, though, so I figured I have something set wrong, or there is something not compatable? I have tried settings everywhere I can find them, but to no avail, including the bios setup, etc.

it's not the exact problem you're having, and they don't really come up with a good solution in that thread, but maybe it'll help you figure something out.
