Monitor in Stand By mode

I know, it is a very dumbass question, but I can't find it anywhere.

After 5 to 10 minutes or so my screen goes into standby mode. (On most screens de green power light changes into orange or red)

How can I disable this? (I'm using SuSE 7.3)

hello,
in the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or maybe /etc/X11/XF86Config under the screen section moniter see if Option "dpms" is in there, if so delete it or comment it out.
