Modify the directory entry structure of a directory to show manipulated data

Hi,

I am trying to manipulate the data stored in dirent structure of a directory.
I can see there are readdir and readdir_r functions to read dirent structure of any directory.
So,is it possible to fill that dirent structure with manipulated (dummy data)?

No, not directly. Allowing the direct alteration of directory data would open up the possibility of corrupt file systems, and may also raise potential security risks.
