Question Modem Management


hi I m using redhat linux 6 , and I want to establis a internet connection using my android phone as a modem. help me how can use my phone as modem???

Just use your phone as a wifi hotspot for your computer, it is easier.

but I don hav hotspot option in my phone!! because I m using android 2.1.1 ... is ther any option ??

Well, you don't say what KIND of phone you're using, or how you're connecting it, so it's hard to say. Also, RHEL is NOT a good distro for a home system/laptop. It's meant for SERVERS, and (unless you're PAYING for it), you will have a hard time installing other packages you need to get this going easily.

As root, with your phone unplugged, run "dmesg -c". Then, plug your phone in, and run "dmesg", and post the output. Also post the output of lsusb.
