Modem Drivers for Conxent HCF V90

Hi all,

I know there is has been a couple of threads related to this topic... but here I go again.

Has anyone found a driver for a Conexant HCF V90 modem to work under linux. ((Perhaps it is a Winmodem, I think).

Thanks

Modem Drivers

Take a look at this. Just a suggestion: If you can't get this modem working without a lot of trouble, go buy one that is compatible. They aren't expensive. Go to Google.com and look for "compatibility list". Then pick several that are, indeed, compatible and not winmodems. Then go to pricewatch.com and look around. You will find one that is pretty reasonable there. I have a 3com/usrobotics faxmodem which works great and isn't a hassle to get up and running in linux.

There are other guys on this forum that know more about winmodems than I do. Perhaps one of them will contribute here.

www.linmodems.org - if your modem isn't on there, then you're pretty much out of luck... just need to get another one.
