One of the best modem resources: www.linmodems.org

Some command commands to use to find out exactly how Linux is detecting your modem:

cat /proc/pci

lspci

dmesg

Ok I ran the cat /proc/pci command and recieved Communication controller: PCI device 1813:4000 (Ambient Technologies Inc) (r
ev 2).
IRQ 5.
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xd7000000 [0xd7000fff].
I/O at 0xec00 [0xecff].
Bus 1, device 0, function 0:
I ran lspci and recieved 00:09.0 Communication controller: Ambient Technologies Inc HaM controllerless modem (rev 02) .Now if someone who has used linux for a bit and maybe can get a driver using this info great but I'm a newbie and tried but not having any luck Thank You
