Weird MODEM SUSE 9.1 or Knoppix
 

Well, before any hello all; :)

:cry: Gist: 1) (main trouble) I have troubles connecting with suse the kinternet apears to be connecting but suddenly returns to the dissconnected mood; & then I tryed with wvdial and changed the /dev/modem to dev/tty0 in the wvdial.config and the result was the same (below);

pppd[0]: --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.54.0
pppd[0]: --> Initializing modem.
pppd[0]: --> Sending: ATZ
pppd[0]: --> Sending: ATQ0
pppd[0]: --> Re-Sending: ATZ
pppd[0]: --> Modem not responding.
pppd[0]: Connect script failed
Status is: disconnected

When I tried with Knoppix the result was that the kppp says to have probed succesfully the modem, but gives (ATI) rare simbols and if I try to connect the log just sits there and repeats the same weird digits
What can I do ?

Gist2) well this is easy (I guess)
My sound card is Ensoniq 1370 and Suse recognises as 1373/1
so I can't play well sounds but when I try to modify it with YAST just says to be unable to install the drivers: what can I do?
