modem and router


can adsl built in modem and router work in Guyana< south America?

What do you mean can it work? Anything can technically work, it just depends on what kind of providers you have in your area. Can you explain your question in more detail?

It would depend on what sort of telephone services are available in these countries. Can you subscribe to an Asymetric Digital Subscriber Line?

I assume it's a global standard but who knows?

I thought it was, unless the OP is in more of a third world-type country. Who knows what they have down there...
