Modem and Radeon 9550 support
Hopefully someone remembers my initial thread. I bought an Athlon 64 system, with a Radeon 9550 video card (256), and a Creative Modem. Today, I installed Suse 9.1 using Yast. After a few missteps - I have two hard drives, and while Windows XP calls it's partition "F", apparantly it is hda1 - that I managed to address with the help of Partition Commander, I am ready to go.
Except that Yast can't detect my modem, which windows says is on com3, and I have no 3D support. I found a thread in the hardware forum about the video card, but I couldn't understand the solution. More importantly, I can't really do much until Linux can find the modem. Help! |
Here are the complete specifics on my hardware
