mobile internet through USB in slackware..
hello experts,,
I recently switched to slackware 13.37, and just started with it.. So, from my "problems interfacing slackware" folder, one of my questions is how to get the internet working in slackware...I am using my mobile phone as the internet source and using "tethering"... Can u plz. help me in configuring this ...as I read that wicd doesn't support mobile broadband...I am confused with this term,,is this my case?? |

thanks allend,,
link was very useful, but still a problem persists, whenever i issue the "dhclient usb0" or "dhcpd usb0" command, the internet starts working but after some time(a few minutes) it automatically disconnects...i have to reissue the command to make it work again and again... |
Perhaps your phone only grants a DHCP lease for a short time. You could try using the -l option to dhcpcd to request a longer lease time.
