I'm new to Linux, running Debian and I downloaded the ML Donkey package for P2P file sharing..It doesn't seem to connect to a server like Ares or Limewire. How do I connect?

I've never used that particular program, but from the website it sounds like you might have to do a little bit of configuration before you dive in. Check this out, it may get you rolling: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/FAQs

Gankoji:

Thanks for the input, but being a little technologically challanged, I found the link to be confusing, probably because being new to Linux, I don't have a clue to what they're talking about.

Well unfortunately I can't help you much further with that program. You can get a Linux version of Limewire here http://limewire2009.get-access.net/?tid=w1. It requires Java, and it may be easier for you to try finding it in some Debian repository somewhere (give google a try!). Maybe Limewire will help satisfy your P2P needs until you figure things out a little better with ML Donkey. Good luck!

Thanks a lot! Limewire did the trick.
