It should be there, as:
Code:
~$ ls -l /sbin/mkbootdisk
OR
~$ locate mkbootdisk
If you find it, either run it with root or equivalent:
Code:
~# mkbootdisk <options>
OR
~$ sudo mkbootdisk <options>

Hello,

Actually , i did run commands 'locate mkbootdisk' and 'find mkbootdisk' under / , but no any result appear.
I don't have any mkbootdisk.bash under / or /sbin folder , so how can i download/copy the mkbootdisk cmd into my /sbin?
Thanks.

Perhaps it's missing in Fedora 15. In that case, you can download (from here or here) and install it.

Code:
~$ rpm -i mkbootdisk-<versio>.rpm

Check the repos eg
Code:
yum info mkbootdisk
??

Having said that, F15 is 3 or 4 versions behind & I believe they only keep the current and last version repos open.
I think you either need to upgrade (recommended) or try to find the previous repos (vault?).

Hi shivaa,

I use cmd uname -r and get the version 2.6.38.6-26.rc1.fc15.i686.PAE,

so i should run the cmd rpm -i mkbootdisk-2.6.38.6-26.rc1.fc15.i686.PAE.rpm to download and install it?

Thanks.

Hi chrism01,

ok , thanks.

You will need to download (from links I mentioned above. I am not sure if rpm command can download it itself) and then install it using following syntax:
Code:
~$ sudo rpm {-i|--install} [install-options] PACKAGE_FILE ...
Well, give it a try a let's know if you face any problem.

It's probably not there at all.
It's not in the mageia repos. Isn't it for making a boot disk from a floppy? The system won't fit on a floppy.
