Missing Mouse

I'm using RedHatEL v3 - its been sitting pretty off a KVM and not given me any real trouble. But now its off on its own, so I had to give it its own Keyboard and Mouse . . . .

Well, its not finding any mice I attech - well at least it doesn't configue them and use them. I have tried USB and PS/2 mice. NoJoy on all of them.

I am not even sure where to start. The PS/2 mouse is an old generic logitec that every OS should support without a driver (well ok, every OS since 1995).

Any suggestions?

Well, I hadn't tried it, but now I have. It seems to run fine - I tried a few different drivers, but none do any good :-(

Have you ascertained on an other machine that the rodent itself
is still functional?
And do you see any references to it in the output of dmesg?

Cheers,
Tink
