Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

You are not being clear. What has 'vista' or 'xp' drivers got to do with a GNU/Linux install?

Hopefully your hardware is recognized and drivers are provided for the selected distribution to enable the hardware usage.

Pekina:

I don't understand. Are you looking to reinstall XP or Vista? Ubuntu won't do that, and it won't provide missing drivers for Windows either.

Usually, Ubuntu installs with all its own necessary drivers using the Live CD. The Ubuntu installer is pretty smart, and will give you the choice of using the whole disk, thus wiping out Windows, or allow you to install Ubuntu and Windows on the same disk at the same time. When you reboot after an install, you will get a choice of which OS you wish to boot.

Give us a few more details as to what you are trying to accomplish.

Frank.
