Missing bottom Gnome toolbar in SUSE Linux 10

I reinstalled my SUSE Linux 10 operating system with a Gnome desktop instead of the KDE.

The manual says there are supposed to be both a top and bottom toolbar. I have the top one, the bottom one is missing.

What did I do wrong? Could someone help me, please?

Thank You Lostn1slinux,

What I have is a totally blank bottom toolbar. I updated Suse 10 last night and installed the updates this morning but the toolbar is still blank. It is only my first day using the Gnome desktop ( which I already like a lot more than the KDE desktop ) perhaps I will learn about this later on.
