Mint Cinnamon locking up; monitor, keyboard, mouse freeze

Does Mint Cinnamon 17.3 solve the "freezing" problem? Or should I just wait for 6-8 months. I really don't want to dive into Linux if my computer is going to be locking up a half dozen times a day.

Your post is a little short on information. It might help if you could include what hardware you are trying to run Mint Cinnamon 17.3 on. Is your freezing problem with 17.3 or an earlier version? You may have an issue with driver support that is causing the hang, which might be resolved with a newer release, if your issue was with a release older than 17.3.
