I am VERY new to Linux.
I have Mint 6 set up on my computer now with XP.(Still need the fax capability.)
My problem.
Everything on my screen is very large. My resolution is at 800 X 600. I need 1024 X 768. I do not know anything about how to change this other than the screen that only goes to Screen resolution and that is as far as it goes.
How do I change this on Mint6? I need detailed instructions as I am lost in these screens.

I seem to have enough knowledge to be dangerous to myself. I have XP, Mint6 and Fedora 10 all on the same computer.
I need to know how I get into the source code or wherever it is that you have the program to set the screen resolution at a different level. I only need to set it to 1024 X 768.
I found the command
xandr -s 1024 X 768
but, I don't know where to put it. I guess it goes somewhere in the source code.
If I can get that straightener out, I can use Mint6 for everything except fax as far as I can tell. I may even be able to set up fax through Skype.
I am running a business online now so I cannot change completely until I know what i am doing.
Please help me. Thank you.
