Mint 13 themes not changing.

Hello. I finally installed Linux Mint 13 on my system and got away from Ubuntu and Unity.
I am wondering though. When I try to change themes, nothing happens, the dropdown menu from the panel looks as it looks on Gnome Classic for Ubuntu. Is there maybe a no effects version I accidentally downloaded? As my system can run Gnome 3 perfectly fine ... or maybe there's something I need to do and haven't. :s

On a different note. There is a little light on my netbook that indicates when the wireless is activated. For some reason on Linux Mint 13 it fails to work - the wireless works never the less. Thankfully.

Thank you.
K.m

You're probably in fallback mode or something.
