Mint 13 freezing on install

Linux Mint 13 Mate freezes when I try to install. It allows me to hit 'install ' and then when it gets to languages and I press connect it freezes everytime. I have tried to remove 'ubiquity-slideshow' but this didnt help. The same thing happened when I tried ubuntu 12.04. Can I get some assistance please?
Thankyou

Did you verify the downoad with an md5checksum, should be info on the Downloads page for Mint on how to?
Did you burn at a slow speed?
Did you try to boot the medium (CD/DVD/flash) on another computer to see it if works there?
Did you check the minimum hardware requirements to see if your hard ware is compatible?
Mint 15 might work but then you have the problem of a system for which support will end long before Mint 13.

yes and no ... Sure, Mint 15 is younger and perhaps more up to date. But Mint 13 is an LTS version and supposed to be supported and maintained until 2017, and so it's probably the best you can choose to install today in terms of longevity, unless you're in for a rolling release model as LMDE offers it.

Computer specs? Maybe the poor girl can't handle the strain?

Code:
$ inxi -S
System: Host: biker Kernel: 3.5.0-17-generic x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: MATE 1.4.2 Distro: Linux Mint 14 Nadia
$ inxi -M
Machine: Mobo: SAMSUNG model: RV410/RV510/S3510/E3510 Bios: Phoenix version: 02UC.P026.20100916.LX date: 09/16/2010
I'd be sure to answer yaneks questions also.

It was only not working on one PC and I was using a liveDVD which was was made by someone else. So I made a USB boot, checked the Md5checksum and it was exactly right. I deleted ubiquity-slideshow-mint and installed. It worked very well. Many thanks for the good advice.

Thanks to Yancek and PECONET009. I dont know if other form of reply will get to you guys but I made a USB boot, checked md5sum and deleted ubiquity-slideshow-mint and it worked. I think trying it with liveDVD which didnt pass checksum was the problem.
