Migrating SVN to GIT?

I have read large number of tutorials regarding the SVN to GIT migration but couldnt trace out the actual steps to be followed.
All I have followed:

1. I installed git-svn package.
2. I created users.txt as per <SVN user= GIT user <emailid> rules.
3. Steps:
Code:
mkdir repo
cd repo
git-svn init http://<myrunningsvnrepo>/svn --no-metadata
git config svn.authorsfile ~/Desktop/users.txt
git-svn fetch
Just a confusion... !!! I read the link http://www.simplisticcomplexity.com/...it-repository/ and found
Code:
http://code.yoursite.net/my_blog/trunk/
. In case of my repository structure, I have all the projects under http://<myrunningsvnrepo>/svn folder.Do I need to mention the trunk.
[/code]

Am I missing any steps?
