anyhow, im going to try getting an old hard disk i can mess around with and continue my experiments with setting up a stable mandrake os on that. honestly, i am keen on moving on from FC4 to mandrake as i am keen on enjoying the full features of KDE ( fedora is too Gnome like ) but for the near future that will have to wait. thanks lot for your help and patience anyways.
