ok we are getting there
to tell you the truth i don't understand exactly why the compile keeps failing
but this time it failed on xaw so we try again a new configuration and leave that one out.
just another userinterface and we are not trying to use user interface.

another configure
Code:
./configure  --enable-emacs --enable-vt100 --enable-alsaseq --enable-network --enable-audio=oss,alsa,jack,ao,vorbis,flac

Still doesn't work

when I do that configure line:

Code:
aap@linux:~/downloads/TiMidity++-2.11.3> ./configure  --enable-emacs --enable-vt100 --enable-alsaseq --enable-network --enable-audio=oss,alsa,jack,ao,vorbis,flac

good greif this is getting old yes.. sorry about that
i give up
i could say leave out --enable-alsaseq which is where it failed but it's just going to fail somewhere else.

so on to the question i should have asked in the first place
why such an old version of timidity
they are at 2.13.2
https://sourceforge.net/project/show...ease_id=272480

what compiler version are you using and is there a reason not to use timidity packaged by your system builders
(who have presumably found which version will compile)
