Merging files and lines

Hello all,

Some how I got the bright idea to make a separate file from poster_information.txt and name it selected_records.txt. I corrected the records in the selected records file and now I do not know how to apply the changes that were made in selected records file back into poster_information.

Any ideas?

Use diff to generate a patch file, and feed that into patch. Good enough for the kernel devs, should work for you.
