menu in ubuntu

hello,

when I right click in a task in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, a menu appears, offering various options (maximize, minimize, close...). This menu is always brought up at the same spot, regardless of where you click on the task. I was wondering if you could change that behavior so that it opens at the spot where the mouse is, just like it usually does when you right click somewhere (firefox...).
Agreed, there's just a few pixels difference, but if you're used to a given mouse movement to right click and close, it might be uncomfortable.

thanks

Ubuntu and its current desktop, Gnome, are Open Source so I'd reckon you're perfectly able to access the source code and modify it to suit, providing you make any changes available to the comunity.

I think that Bob32 was looking for a way to accomplish his task, not a "visa" to make changes to the source code.
I would suggest "ubuntu tweak" a nice utility to change many setting in Ubuntu in a very fast and easy way.

I appologise for my impertinance, It's Red Nose Day in the UK, hence my poor attempt at humour.
