media player stucks
 

hi,

i have recently installed REDHAT linux 9.0 on my AMD athlon

i have installed XMMS and its patch xmmx-mpg123-1.2.7-21.i386.rmp but still i am unable to here mp3 songs. when i click on mp3 song the player opens and when i press play button it strucks and i am even unable to kill the player and i have to reboot the system?????????

why it is like this ?
where i am wrong?
