me, the newest possible newbie needs help to start learning linux

Hello everyone,
this is bilgesu. As the header indicates I know nothing. So you guys probably know what I need better than me. I am using Windows on my laptop and I need it. So I need an easy to learn distro to go with it. And I also need some kind of a guide to learn the basics of linux. As I told I know nothing. So please take my situation into consideration when replying to this. Thank you already.

Making a request like this is likely to get you lots of suggestions. Perhaps the following will be of use to you.

This site will aid you in deciding which distro is right for you:

And here's a couple of sites for beginners:

Hi,
This question has been asked numerous times here on the forum.
You can either use the function 'search' or visit a great website with
reviews: www.distrowatch.com

EDIT: didn't see {BBI}Nexus{BBI}'s more helpful post:)
