MDK 9.2. install hangs when copying files

Hi.

I have attempted to install mandrake 9.2 to my laptop (ACER Travelmate 723TXV, which i believe is nearmost supported according to hardware sections) but I cannot get any further from the first part. The installation starts fine, all questions are asked and it recognizes everything ok (in my mind), but after I've selected the packages and the installation itself begins, everything hangs. This happens when glibc files are being copied (almost the very first files). I have tried to make it go pass this but it always hangs at some point, I've even tried with two different set of M-9.2 Cd's to exclude the option of poor cd's.. I have 1,7 Gbs reserved for the linux, and the package i need is below 1 Gb.

What's the matter, what to do?? :(

thanks in advance people,

pumpuli
