SORRY hit something twice?

In order to get the best possible response you should try to write your post differently so that it attracts more members. First, your title does not tell us what is wrong and many members will skip this post since they have no clue what it is about. Second, try to give as many details as possible when describing your problem. For example in this post you could tell us what distribution you are using, what program you are trying to run and what format it is in. Is it a tar file? bz2? Lastly the general rules in the forums here state that you should not bump a post for at least 24 hours. We will read your post when we get a chance. You should make an attempt to read these rules as quick as possible.
If you could give me some more details about your situation I would be glad to help you out.

Thanks for your reply.
I accidentally posted twice...I am trying to solve this problem,am getting a little frustrated and pulled the trigger a little too quick.
I guess i am use to the world of point and click.
My problem is that i am attempting to open Real Player in Xbuntu which is on my desk top...Ok now when i click on it,it gives me the options of "opening with",none of them will open it? I had Synaptic Package Manager as my default, and some how it was changed? I have asked this before i will ask again, how do i put S Package Manager back as my default program opener??...
Thanks very much...I apologize for my haste, and making posting mistakes...
I am not only new to Linux, i am new to using forums....In xp you just called a friend or relative if you had some trouble..as the world seems to know it...I will not be going back to the MS world,i love Linux!Just get a little frustrated at times is all,it's like learning to walk again, well not that bad but its a good challenge:)
I believe i am still in the newb section? so please bare with us newbs ..and try to remember that, most of us were on MS xp not long ago,and have not been using Linux for years, like a lot of people out here.

And closed. Starting a thread to get attention to another
one is not really the done thing to do here, either. Very
much like double posting.
