What is the maximum username lenth in Linux / Unix ?

32 characters, as mentioned in the useradd manual page.

in useradd man pages it says :

Code:
Usernames may only be up to 32 characters long.
i think its depend in your distro . i checked it on ubuntu 12.04

I have checked in RHEL 6, it is 32.
