Matrox Millennium Linux Support

Hey all.

I have tried to install Fedora 12 on a Dell Dimension 2400 with a Matrox Millennium PCI graphics card. Is this card not well supported under linux ? the highest resolution available is 1280x800 something and i know the card is capable of 1200x1600 resolutions. how do i correct this ? is it the settings or do i have to install a driver ?

I have noticed that Fedora 12 doesn't come with a xorg.conf file so i have no idea how to correct this.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

This should work to create an initial xorg.conf file:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/create...conf-file.html

From that, you can try to specify the resolution you want to have by adding it to the file.

As far as I know, the millennium should be supported, although a bit old.
