manually restart X

i have edited my xorg.conf file to load the vnc module, but how do i make this take effect? i cant physically be at my machine, so i cant reboot it because i wont be able to log back in, but is there a way i can manually restart X windows so the vnc module will load? (specifically with fedora, 'telinit' would work for slack)

nevermind... i just dont have the /sbin as part of my path, and that is where telinit is located

Try to ssh to FC and kill the X server.
I have never tried this but FC have sshd running at boot time, I think you can use it.
